Our group offers support in many ways. Details of venues for all group support activities can be found on members programme page or relevant section page.

We meet the third Tuesday of every month, our meetings are relaxed, friendly, informal and supportive. Most people and their families find these meetings to be very beneficial and informative. Not only do they provide various demonstrations and speakers, but we also provide a lending library.

Members also have the opportunity to talk to each other about their problems relating to Fibromyalgia, and as most people know it is a lot easier to talk to someone who can relate to you and understand how you feel.

The meetings are for sufferers of Fibromyalgia, their family and friends, but unfortunately, we do not have a crèche.

Tea and Coffee along with light refreshments are available at the end of each meeting and we ask you to contribute £1.50 to cover costs

Anyone may come to one monthly meeting to see if they would like to join the support group.

Coffee Meetings are held the first & last Tuesday of every month. Coffee meetings held on the first Tuesday of the month alternate between morning & afternoon at various Coffee Shops/Restaurants. Evening coffee meetings are held at The Pit Stop, Bangor from 6.30-8pm.

To help keep the funds healthy, we have a number of social fundraising events which include, Coffee Mornings, Quiz Nights etc. This gives everyone a chance to socialize and get to know one another. There is no better way to get to know people and it also helps to give you a distraction from your illness and relax a little.

Each summer we have a lunch or dinner for Support Group Members. These are usually held the first week of July & August.

All Support Group members receive a copy of our newsletter by post on a quarterly basis. A postal membership option is available to those members who are unable to attend our monthly meetings, this gives support to the people who are housebound and unable to come along.

HYDROTHERAPY (Unfortunately we are unable to operate this service at this time)

Hydrotherapy is held during school term only at Clifton Park Special School on Wednesday evenings for Support Group members only. The exercise program is very valuable to all Fibromyalgia sufferers and sessions have proven very popular.

The Art & Craft Group is held every Thursday afternoon from September to June. Throughout the summer months the group continue to meet socially for coffee, chat & variety of activities at venues throughout The Ards & North Down area. This weekly activity group is for Support Group Members only.
